Road roller, by virtue of its own weight, and compaction of materials by static pressure in the process of traveling, is mainly divided into two categories smooth roller and tire type. To ensure its efficient and safe use, you need to pay attention to the following points of operation:
Emergency braking operation: In case of emergency braking during operation or traveling, make sure to step on the main clutch pedal first to cut off the power source, and then step on the brake pedal. When the brake is released, the order of operation is reversed, first release the brake pedal, then release the main clutch pedal to ensure smooth driving.
Use of differential locking device: During normal operation, the differential locking device should be placed in the differential position to facilitate flexible steering and protect the road surface. When encountering mud, stones and other complex terrain causing the rear wheels to slip, it can be placed in the locked position to enhance traction and help the machine get out of trouble.
Precautions for driving on slopes: You need to stop and change gears before going uphill, and you should choose a low-speed gear when going downhill to ensure driving stability.
High speed and steering specification: avoid sharp turns when driving at high speed to prevent loss of control. When multiple rollers are working jointly, at least 3 meters distance should be maintained to prevent collision and steering interference.
Long-distance transfer suggestion: avoid long-distance transfer of the roller, if necessary, it should be carried by professional transportation vehicles to reduce mechanical wear and safety hazards.
Vibratory roller, combined with mill weight static pressure and vibration force, to realize the deep compaction of materials, common types including towed, hand-held and self-propelled, of which self-propelled is the most widely used. The operation precautions are as follows:
Operation of speed change and direction change: Before adjusting the traveling speed, it is necessary to disengage the main clutch or direction change clutch first, and then operate the speed change handle. When changing direction, you need to put the handle in the center position first, and then switch the direction after the machine stops completely to avoid damage to the machine parts.
Clutch maintenance: when the direction change or vibration clutch is found slipping during the operation, it should stop the machine immediately and disengage the main clutch, check, adjust and remove the fault, and it is strictly prohibited to force the machine to run at a high speed, so as not to burn the clutch plate.
Vibratory crushing order: for loose materials, 1 or 2 times of static pressure should be carried out first, and then vibratory crushing should be carried out to improve the compaction effect.
Vibrating and stopping timing: vibrating or stopping operation should be completed during the operation of the roller, and avoid vibrating directly on the hard surface to protect the vibration-damping device and other parts.
Transfer and ramp driving: High-speed gear can be used for short-distance transfer, but long-distance movement should be done with the help of other transportation tools. Before going up and down the slope, you should change the low-speed gear in advance, and it is forbidden to go up and down the slope at high speed to ensure driving safety.
High-speed crushing taboo: when carrying out high-speed crushing operations, it is strictly prohibited to open the vibration device, in order to maintain the performance of the equipment and the quality of the road surface.
Following the above operation guidelines will effectively improve the working efficiency and service life of the roller and vibratory roller, and ensure the construction safety and quality.
