2XCMG’s XGE110 pure electric wide-body mining truck is seeing large-scale application at cement mines and open-pit coal mines, supporting the transition toward low-carbon mining operations. With zero exhaust emissions during operation, the truck combines environmental benefits with improved operating economics.

The XGE110 features a 460 kW dual-motor drive system and a high-capacity battery pack. Under operating conditions with an average 5% gradient, its energy consumption per trip is reportedly 60% lower than that of a comparable diesel truck. Based on 5,000 operating hours annually, estimated electricity costs are approximately RMB 42,000 per vehicle, compared with nearly RMB 105,000 in annual fuel costs for a diesel truck of similar tonnage.

The truck also delivers strong energy recovery performance, with a recovery rate exceeding 85% during loaded downhill operation. Its four-gun fast-charging system can charge the battery from 20% to 90% in approximately 50 minutes, helping meet the demands of continuous mining operations.

In Guinea’s Simandou iron ore project, the XGE110 has undergone testing on a 4-kilometer downhill route with an average gradient of 10%. Reported results include 40–48 hours of continuous operation per charge-discharge cycle, a range of 665–798 kilometers, and an overall availability rate exceeding 90%.

From domestic mining sites to overseas projects, XCMG is expanding the application of electric mining trucks. Through large-scale deployment and integrated green equipment solutions, the company continues to support energy efficiency improvements and low-carbon transformation across the global mining industry.
