3Recently, a fleet of SHANTUI new energy equipment—including bulldozers, rollers, loaders, and excavators—was deployed at the Kuitun-Dushanzi-Kuqa Expressway project in the core area of the Bayinbuluk Grassland, deep in the Tianshan Mountains. The equipment is supporting construction in a high-altitude environment characterized by cold temperatures, low oxygen levels, and strict ecological protection requirements.

The project is located within an ecological protection area focused on Tianshan water conservation and biodiversity. With stringent environmental standards, the construction site requires effective pollution control. SHANTUI electric equipment features zero exhaust emissions during operation and low noise, helping reduce disturbance to the grassland environment.

Electric drive technology also helps address the challenges of high-altitude construction. Unlike conventional internal combustion engines, electric motors can provide stable power output under low-oxygen conditions. To improve performance in low temperatures, SHANTUI has adopted customized battery management systems and thermal insulation measures to support reliable operation in harsh environments.

Supported by an intelligent construction system, SHANTUI equipment incorporates functions such as automatic compaction, helping improve construction accuracy and consistency while reducing errors associated with manual operation.

With an integrated new energy equipment lineup covering bulldozing, compaction, excavation, and loading, SHANTUI is contributing to greener and more intelligent construction on the Kuitun-Dushanzi-Kuqa Expressway project.
