1. Handover and equipment inspection
First of all, the relevant personnel need to strictly
implement the shift handover system, and carefully check the integrity and
reliability of the hook, wire rope, brake and safety guards, once abnormalities
are found, they should be reported immediately and take appropriate measures.
2. Safety check before starting the crane
Before starting the crane, it must be confirmed that the
following safety conditions have been met:
·All controllers are zeroed to ensure that there is no risk of accidental start-up.
·There are no idle persons in the crane and its operation area, and the
operating personnel have been evacuated to the safety zone.
·All obstacles are removed to ensure unobstructed crane operation.
·Ensure that the safety distance between the crane and the surrounding
equipment or buildings is not less than 0.5 metres.
·The power disconnecting device has been properly locked or there is a
clear warning sign.
·For mobile cranes, ensure that the working site is level and the
outriggers are stable and reliable.
3. Warning and signalling
Before switching on and operating close to the personnel,
must ring the bell or take other effective ways to warn. Strictly comply with
the command signal operation, the emergency stop signal unconditional and
immediate response.
4. Prohibited Behaviour
During operation, the following behaviours are strictly
prohibited:
·Using the limiter instead of normal stopping operation.
·Braking by hitting the reverse carriage.
·Conducting inspection or maintenance during lifting operations.
·Adjusting the brake or increasing the operating range with the load.
·Passing the lifting object above the head of personnel, or standing under
the lifting object and lifting arm.
5. Precise operation and test lifting
Strictly in accordance with the command signal operation,
lifting load close to or reach the rated value, and lifting dangerous goods
before, need to carefully check the brake, and a small height, short stroke
test lifting, to confirm that there is no error before continuing operations.
6. Maintain a safe distance
Ensure that the distance between each part of the crane,
lifting loads and auxiliary tools and power lines meets the safety standards to
prevent electric shock accidents.
7. Unsafe conditions
In case of the following conditions, the operation should
be stopped immediately:
·There is a safety hazard in the crane structure or key components.
·The hoist is overloaded, the weight is unknown, the bundle is unstable or
there are other unsafe factors.
·Insufficient light in the operating environment affects sight or judgment.
8. Power failure treatment and restart
In case of sudden power failure during work, all
controllers should be zeroed immediately and the main power supply should be
switched off. After restoring the power supply, you need to check the status of
the crane and confirm its safety before restarting.
9. The main and secondary hooks use rules
Unless the design permits, it is forbidden to work with
the main and vice hoisting mechanism at the same time to avoid overload or
operation conflict.
10. Joint lifting management
When multiple cranes are jointly lifting, it is necessary
to ensure that each crane is not overloaded, and keep the wire rope vertical
and running synchronously. In this process, there should be professional and
technical personnel and safety personnel on-site guidance and supervision.
11`. Bad weather countermeasures
For open-air operation of rail cranes, when the wind
exceeds 6, should stop working and anchor the crane to ensure equipment safety.
After the work is finished, the same anchoring measures need to be taken to
prevent the wind and other natural factors from affecting the safety of the
equipment.
