In the daily maintenance of construction machinery, the selection and use of grease is a crucial part, which directly affects the operational efficiency, life and safety of the equipment. Reasonable selection of grease
1. Consider the working conditions
Load and speed: according to the friction side of the load size and operating speed to choose the appropriate grease. When the load is heavy or the speed is high, the grease with high viscosity of base oil and high content of thickener should be used, even the grease with extreme pressure additives should be added; on the contrary, when the load is medium-low or the speed is low, the grease with moderate viscosity and suitable taper degree can be chosen.
Temperature environment: Ensure the use temperature of the grease is lower than its dropping point by 20~30℃ to maintain good lubrication performance. In high temperature environment, it is necessary to choose grease with anti-oxidation, small evaporation loss and high dropping point; in low temperature environment, it is preferable to choose the grease with low starting moment and small similar viscosity.
Working environment: Consider humidity, air pollution level and other factors. Wet or water contact environment should use good water-resistant grease; dusty environment needs to choose thicker and harder grease with good sealing; strong chemical medium environment needs to use synthetic oil grease which is resistant to chemical medium.
2. Matching grease supply method and working condition
Grease supply method: Centralized grease supply system should use No.00~1 grease; regular filling parts should use No.1~3 grease; long-term non-grease changing parts should use No.2 or No.3 grease.
Working condition: the working condition with big vibration needs to choose the grease with high viscosity, good adhesion and vibration damping; the continuous running equipment should pay attention to the durability and stability of the grease.
3. Reduce varieties and improve efficiency
Under the premise of meeting the performance requirements, try to reduce the varieties of grease, and give priority to the selection of multi-effective universal grease such as lithium grease, composite soap grease, etc., in order to reduce the management cost and improve the economic efficiency.
Correct use of grease
1. Adequate filling
Ensure that the amount of grease filling is moderate, generally 1/3 to 1/2 of the total clearance volume in the bearing, to avoid too much or too little friction torque increase, temperature rise or dry friction phenomenon.
2. Avoid mixing
It is strictly prohibited to mix different types, grades and old and new greases to prevent performance degradation. Use independent grease containers and tools, and keep clean to avoid cross contamination.
3. Regular replacement
Replace the grease regularly according to the use of equipment and the change of grease performance. Before replacement, remove the waste grease and clean the parts to ensure the effective injection of new grease.
4. Process management
Before filling the grease, strictly check the cleanliness of containers and tools, and wipe clean the grease supply port to prevent impurities from mixing.
5. Timely adjustment
Adjust the grease type in time according to seasonal changes to ensure its effective lubrication under different temperatures.
6. Storage and Packaging
The grease should be stored in a cool and dry place, avoiding the use of wooden or paper containers, in order to prevent the loss of oil and hardening, mixing with water or contamination and deterioration.
